I'M NOT DEAD.

Happy Post - St. Patrick's Day! Hope everyone isn't too hung over.

It's been... a year. A really, REALLY hectic year.

COVID. Heart and other health issues. Promotions and more responsibilities at work. Inflation and the overall economy hitting collectible markets.

But I'm STILL HERE.

And I'll be uploading some awesome stuff as soon as I can.

In the meantime, please feel free to check out the Santcum's eBay Store and see what cool new items have been added... and follow us on Instagram!

I thank all Sanctum Dwellers for their patience.

I SHALL RETURN...

TRS at BLUE HEN COMIC CON - November 18-19 2023

Hello Sanctum Dwellers! It's been quite a while, hasn't it?

The past few months have been extraordinarily busy, and so I apologize for the lack of uploads. However, a large portion of my time spent away from the Blog was to prepare for this year's BLUE HEN COMIC CON!

Last year was a ton of fun and a great success, and with this year's outing expanding into a much larger venue (with over 200 vendors!), we needed even more room... so this year the Sanctum will be at TWO tables instead of one, with literal thousands of items available for sale!

The Con will take place on November 18th and 19th at the old Sears (attached to Dover Mall) in Dover, Delaware. The Sanctum will be at Tables 400 and 402. For more information (and to pre-pay for tickets), please visit bluehencomiccon.com.

Aside from the Sanctum, I urge potential visitors to also check out the following, highly-recommended vendors:

Born To Game
They're Action Figures
Reel Vinyl Carts
Game Genie Retro
Yanky Brit Collectibles

And for Arts and Crafts:

Cory's Flow Fluid Art
Heart of Johari
J Golden Art

And a huge Thank You to Shawn from Eastern Shore Screen Printing for all of his help, and everything he's doing behind-the-scenes at BHCC!

Hope to see you there!! 😄

BOB KEVOIAN - "TAKE OFF YOUR CLOTHES!" - 2000 Comedy CD

For those who love radio shows in the vein of Howard Stern or Opie & Anthony, I'm sure you've also heard of the legendary "Bob & Tom Show".

Originally hosted by Bob Kevoian and Tom Griswold, the show started in 1983 and actually celebrated its 40th Anniversary this year! Tom is still a part of the show; however Bob Kevoian retired from radio in 2015 (although he has made some guest appearances here and there).

During their tenure, Bob & Tom released a slew of comedy albums. However Bob himself only released one musical comedy LP, 2000's "Take Off Your Clothes!"

It's got some pretty funny tracks on it, with topics ranging from sex (of course), to drinking, to riffing on the Heaven's Gate cult.

The album isn't available anywhere (even though a web page for it still exists), and when I came across a copy at a Goodwill recently, I knew I just had to share it. Perfect for fans of comedy albums, dirty humor, parodies, or anything else within those spheres. Enjoy!

(Oh, and before anyone asks... the model on the cover is Chevonne Notter. You're welcome.)

YNOT?! - "The E.P. Limited Edition" - 1991 Rock CD

YNOT (stylized throughout the years as "Ynot", "Y-NOT", "YNOT!?", "YNOT?!" and various other iterations) were a short-lived Rock band in the early 1990's.

(NOTE that this is NOT the K-Pop group of the same name.)

As far as I can tell, they only released one album and one E.P., the latter of which of which I'm sharing here today titled "The E.P. - Limited Edition". Not clue why it's called "Limited Edition"... It's your standard early '90's Pop Rock - influenced by R&B - fare.

The E.P. contains "takes, outtakes and alternative versions" of songs from their lone full-length album.

Nothing to write home about, but it's nowhere else online, so I may as well share the copy I secured! Enjoy!

THE POORBOYS - "PARDON ME" 1992 Rock CD

Keeping in line with the previous posts of the month, here's another long-forgotten early 1990's band: The Poorboys!

These guys were really tight, with a very straightforward Rock-N-Roll sound. If you like bands such as The Black Crowes, you'll dig The Poorboys (seriously, TBC are the best comparison).

Their biggest hit was the song "Hey Man", which not only opens "Pardon Me" - their sole full-length album - but also was the first track on the soundtrack to the Disney classic "The Mighty Ducks".

It's a real shame that these guys never truly got off the ground; the songs on "Pardon Me" are really good, and the production and mixing from industry legend Andy Wallace help the songs sound raw yet clear, if that makes sense.

I hope someday to see this gem of an album appear on streaming services, and the 'boys get their due... but until then, I have a copy to share with all of you. Enjoy!

BROOKLYN BEAT - "BEAT THIS" - 1990 Compilation CD

Last Summer I came across this CD at a downstate flea market: "Beat This - The Brooklyn Beat Compilation CD".

In the time since then, I've tried finding out more information about this now-defunct record label. There are several others currently that have the same name (or close to it), but none of them appear to be THIS "Brooklyn Beat".

This compilation from 1990 showcases Twenty different bands, including some CBGB semi-staples like The Beatniks From Mars. There's a little bit of everything here, from New Wave to Indie to Alt-Rock. Many of these bands seem to have completely vanished into obscurity. Which is a shame, because there are some great tracks here!

Through this compilation I discovered Cryptic Soup, who were making music up through at least the 2010s. Anyone interested in Jangly, hard-to-pin-down early 90's Indie Rock should check them out.

While this particular compilation has already been uploaded to the Internet Archive (twice!), it's only in 30-second clips. I wanted to rectify that, so I have the full album ready for everyone's enjoyment!

REIGNDANCE - "THREAD" - 1994 Alternative Rock CD

Happy New Year, Sanctum Dwellers! Hopefully I'll be able to keep a much tighter upload schedule in 2023.

I wanted to kick off the year with an album from a long-forgotten band from the height of 1990's MTV, the Alt-Rock band REIGNDANCE.

The band only released two full-length albums, and while mostly now known only as the band Andre Comeau was in (from the first season of MTV's "The Real World"), and a band Dean Fertita was involved in, this album still has a few memorable tracks worthy of inclusion on any 1990's Indie/Alternative playlist.

Reigndance's debut, "Problem Factory", is already available at the Internet Archive, and I felt the need to include the other half of their discography when I stumbled upon the CD at a Goodwill recently. Hopefully you enjoy it!
